Inflatable-seat butterfly valve for rare earth powder handling

RARE EARTH PROCESSING

A MORE ECONOMICAL SOLUTION FOR STICKY POWDER HANDLING

Challenge

Sticky rare earth powder accumulated around the butterfly valve disc and damaged the seat, restricting material flow and contributing to wear and tear.

RBV's Solution

Supplied an inflatable-seat butterfly valve for the rare earth powder-transfer application.

Result

The valve is operating successfully. The solution provides a more economical approach with reduced wear and tear.

OLEOCHEMICAL PROCESSING

REPLACING A CORRODED VALVE IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE SERVICE

Challenge

An existing valve had corroded under demanding process conditions, including operating temperatures of up to 280°C.

RBV's Solution

Supplied an SS317 metal-seated on/off ball valve complete with an Ex ia solenoid valve and limit switch, selected for the specified application requirements.

Result

The replacement valve is operating successfully in the application.
